The Nokia E7 is just one of the smartphone handsets in the Nokia range and it has a number of similar features to the N8. The handset has been given straight edges and a 4 inch screen. One of the downsides to the design is the weight of it although the usability of the slide-out QWERTY keyboard makes up for this. The touchscreen is also a nice feature and the images are clear and bright, even in strong light outdoors and the handset comes in a variety of colors.

Nokia E7 Overview
Nokia E7 runs the Symbian OS, Though it is not as popular as Android it is perfectly fine for this handset. Most users will be able to get used to this quickly enough, but reviewers are in agreement that the handset is let down by the processor. This is just 680 MHz which does slow things down somewhat. The home screens on the handset can be customized but moving between them can be sluggish. You can add your own apps and widgets direct from the OVI store online but there are also some which can be pulled directly from the handset. There is a notifications app which most users will love which can keep all updates from social networking sites in one place.

Internet Use
Browsing on the Net is not easy thanks to the slow processor but there are benefits including the support for Flash and a variety of connections to the internet such as WiFi and 3G. However, when it comes to email the handset is perfect. You can get real-time updates on your email accounts and can sync your email accounts into the same place. Business users will also be able to make use of the document editor feature.
Camera
The camera on the handset is fairly good. It has 8 megapixels and there is also a dual-LED flash so that you can be sure of taking a good shot. The camera is fixed focus and there is a front-facing camera for video calls. There are apps which are great for editing the images and videos that you take. The handset will support a number of different file formats for video, just as it will for music.
Memory
There is a total of 16 GB on-board storage which is more than adequate for those who like to listen to music.

Using the Nokia E7
There are a several features to the handset which are not the best and reviewers seem to agree that it is not as fast as it should be, nor is it geared up to the everyday user. However, the efficiency of the email and document apps makes it a great choice for the business user who will not necessarily need to spend a lot of time on the internet.
Is this the Phone for You?
Having a physical QWERTY keyboard is a plus point and the touchscreen means that you get the best of both worlds. It is not the ideal phone for those who want it for surfing the net but it is worth considering if email, calls and text are the prime concerns.

Very interesting one buddy. It would be great if you would mention the current price of E7 too. Now I am thinking to have one Nokia Asha device for dual Sim support.

Thanks for this review. I’m NOKIA fan.
For a regular phone I love a slider with a Querty keypad. I’ll keep it in mind if I need a spare for my iphone.
