Xiaomi Mi3 All Set to Accelerate and Beat its Competitors

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Xiaomi, recently announced their new handset Xiaomi Mi3 which is open for pre-orders now in India.

With Chinese brands like Gionee and Xiaomi it seems like Indian market has started to accept Chinese handset manufacturers almost at par with their other contemporaries.

Thing to notice here is that gone are those days when chinese handsets were considered cheap devices with no product guarantee. Devices could work forever or would fail in mere days.

This change in perception has not come overnite. Handsets manufactured by these “Chinese Brands” are technologically at par with most of the highend smartphones from prestigious and most trusted brands like Samsung, Nokia, HTC etc. If we compare them price wise then they are set to give a jerk of consideration.

Strategy here is simple, to target audience that prefers performance driven handsets over conventional trusted brands. These handsets do not make a hole in the pocket while they come with latest technology.

Xiaomi Mi3 Specs

Xiaomi Mi3 which is priced at Rs. 13999 comes with Qualcomm MSM8274AB Snapdragon 800 chipset, a Quad Core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, Adreno 330 graphics engine, 2 GB LP DDR3 RAM, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS (upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat) and 16GB internal memory.

The phone sports a 5 inches IPS LCD screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution (440 ppi pixel density). This handset is sure to offer great imaging experience with its 13 MP primary camera with dual LED flash to throw some extra light and 2MP secondary camera for better video calling and selfie clicks.

One thing to note here is that the device is the cheapest full HD smartphone in the market. This phone is being compared with Moto G looking at the prices but if we compare its specs it definitely beats Moto G. Be its camera, screen resolution, RAM, GPU or processor it scores better than Motorola Moto G Specifications. This one is out for a kill.

The phone is designed to offer good battery backup. It offers up to 500 hours of standby time, up to 25 hours of talk time and up to 50 hours of music play.

Its built and features are to offer great lag free gaming experience.  Things that might raise eye brows are; this device does not have an expandable memory slot and battery cannot be removed. Moto G’s 16 GB variant was more popular looking at that expandable memory should not have too much of impact on prospective buyers.

It will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. After the success of Motorola Moto series it appears like new brands are also trying this strategy of only online sale through an exclusive sale partner. Flipkart has already started promotional activities and registering pre-orders. This phone is rumored to be available for sale after 21st July 2014. Till then users can pre-book this phone on Flipkart. Apart from a new brand hesitation clubbed with servicing queries this is sure to excite customers to get their hands on this great device.
