Nokia X, the company’s first Android smartphone was launched in India yesterday with a price tag of Rs. 8599. At a similar price, we have a smartphone from the house of Samsung namely Galaxy S Duos 2.
This article compares the two smartphones on the basis of their features and specifications thereby concluding the best among them.
Nokia X vs Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2
Design and Display
The Nokia X measures 115.5 x 63 x 10.4 mm and weighs 128.6 grams whereas Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 measures 121.5 x 63.1 x 10.57 mm and weighs 118 grams. Both the smartphone sports a 4 inch display with the same resolution as well (480 x 800 pixels).
It has a rugged design and remains undamaged even after falling on tough surfaces while Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has got nothing like this.
Camera
It features a 3 mega pixels fixed focus camera on the rear with 4x digital zoom. The handset lacks LED flash and even front camera.
Galaxy S Duos 2, on the other hand, features a 5 mega pixels rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. There’s also a 0.3 MP front facing camera.
Memory
Both Nokia X and Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has 4 GB of internal memory. The memory of the former device can be expanded up to 32 GB while the latter’s memory can be expanded up to 64 GB using a micro SD card.
Performance
The Nokia comes equipped with a dual core CPU clocked at 1 GHz combined with 512 MB of RAM and running on Nokia X platform (Android 4.2 Jelly Bean based) where as the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 packs a 1.2 GHz dual core CPU coupled with 768 MB RAM and running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with full access to the Google Play store.
Connectivity
Both the smartphones has Dual SIM support with Dual standby feature. They also have 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and micro USB port. The Galaxy S Duos 2 has GPS with A-GPS support where as Nokia X has only A-GPS.
Battery Backup
The Nokia X comes packed with a 1500 mAh battery claiming to providing up to 10.5 h of talk time and up to 22 days standby (3G networks) where as the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2, also packed with a 1500 mAh battery, claims to provide up to 8 h of talk time and up to 280 h of standby.
Conclusion
Based on the above comparisons, we can conclude that the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is better in features like Camera, storage and performance.
The X, on the other hand, claims to have good battery backup, a rugged design and mostly meant for those people who are not much fanatic about apps.

Is this attains powerful battery bake up while compare with traditional android phones ???
Nokia X claims to provide good battery backup than many traditional Android phones. But the reality can be judged when you get your hands on this device.
Nokia entered into the Android market very late and priced a bit higher when compared to other local brands.
The biggest plus for Nokia X is its brand name and we need to wait for few more days before drawing a conclusion on how it is going to compete with Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2.

Better late than never. I am glad that Nokia have finally launched Android phone. But the thing that worries me is it employs Nokia and MS services instead of Google’s . I like the design of Nokia X. If the battery backup is good (as they claim), I guess it is a nice phone under 10K
